Sherwin Bash was a personal manager best known for guiding the careers of the Carpenters, Don Knotts, Neil Diamond and Anita Baker. He was also a business partner with future film and television producer Mace Neufeld (The Hunt for Red October, The Omen), with whom he formed the personal management entertainment firm BNB Management in New York in 1950.

BNB discovered and signed talent including Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, James Caan, Katharine Ross, Randy Newman, astronaut Wally Schirra, Buck Henry, Petula Clark, Captain & Tennille, Raquel Welch, Neil Sedaka, Cheryl Ladd, Kansas, David Copperfield and Natalie Cole.

In 1959, when The Steve Allen Show moved to California, Bash followed and opened a West Coast office. They also contributed to the 1980s television series Cagney & Lacey, prior to Bash and Neufeld ending their partnership in 1985.

Bash also appeared as himself in the television documentaries Behind the Music, “The Carpenters”; Biography, “Don Knotts: Nervous Laughter”; and Only Yesterday: The Carpenters’ Story.

He died March 23, 2016, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 86.
