We're excited to invite you to GenJam hosted by Machine Cinema as part of the Television Academy's AI Toolkit Series. The theme is Doing Is Better Than Showing.
An event for members of the Art Directors/Set Decorators, Emerging Media Programming, Motion & Title Design, Picture Editors, Producers, Sound Editors, Sound Mixers, Science & Technology, and Special Visual Effects peer groups.
After two AI Summits and six Toolkit sessions, it's time to put what we've learned into practice—and experiment.
This is not a panel. Not a demo. This is a hands-on virtual jam session where participants team up to co-create original work using generative AI tools. Think of it like a music jam session, only your instruments are text, sound, visuals, and narrative AI models.
What is a GenJam?
Short for Generative Jam, GenJam is a creative sprint rooted in real-time experimentation and collaboration. Whether you're exploring visual storytelling, sound design, or narrative invention, this is your space to test ideas, break things, and build something unexpected.
Join us on Zoom. Bring your curiosity. No prior AI experience required—just a willingness to play.
At the end of the session, teams will share what they created and reflect on the surprises, challenges, and creative insights from the jam.
GenJam is part of the AI Toolkit Series, designed to help Television Academy members:
Gain real hands-on experience
Develop a much deeper understanding of AI tools
Explore new creative workflows
Collaborate across disciplines and departments
Previous Toolkit sessions with Runway, Leonardo AI, Udio, Kling, Eleven Labs, and Minimax are available on the Television Academy site.
We hope you'll join us for this one-of-a-kind opportunity to experiment, collaborate, and imagine what's possible.
