NOW FOR THE NOMS: McRae won on his first nomination.

EYES ON THE PRIZE: "I keep my statuette in my home office, right by the door. It inspires me to never compromise and always give everything 110%."

ROAD TO REALIZATION: "When our award was announced, everything became a blur. What was most exciting was when I returned to my seat and realization set in. The feeling of knowing other Academy members recognized our work and voted for us was something very special to me. Celebrating with friends and colleagues at the Governors Gala was unforgettable."

SHOWING RESPECT: "Masters of the Air was an extra-special opportunity to be able to honor an important chapter of history. Our team’s attention to detail to ensure that events were depicted accurately made everything we did feel so meaningful."
