Kimberly Wannop, SDSA
Briefly describe what you do.
I decorate sets for television and film.
What motivated you to become a governor?
I wanted to become a governor to help strengthen our Academy community and revise our rules and procedures for my peer group.
What are some of your proudest accomplishments or credits?
I am proud to have won an Emmy for the fifth season of Veep, which I decorated while I was pregnant with twins.
What do you hope to accomplish for your peer group as a governor?
I plan to implement positive changes to our rules and procedures, enhance our social media presence and organize more social events for our peers.
What do you like most about being a governor at the Television Academy?
I enjoy interacting with other governors and having a positive influence on my peer group.
Raf Lydon
Briefly describe what you do.
I help craft the visual look and artistic detail of a show to create a stunning and immersive environment that draws viewers into the story.
What motivated you to become a governor?
I set out to provide guidance and support to my peer group members, while also deepening my understanding of the Television Academy’s inner workings and contributing to the company’s broader goals.
What are some of your proudest accomplishments or credits?
I am proud that we’ve expanded our outreach to our peer group members and organized more activities and mixers to help everybody connect and get to know other fellow members of the Television Academy.
How do you stay informed about emerging trends and developments within your field, and how has that helped support your peer group?
I stay informed by being on committees and using social media to keep up to date on developments that may affect my specific field.
What do you hope to accomplish for your peer group as a governor?
Greater outreach to our members and greater unity with our peer groups inside the Academy.
What do you like most about being a governor at the Television Academy?
Having the opportunity to be involved in all different areas of the Academy and form friendships with Academy staff and other governors.

I really enjoy being an active member of the Academy and contributing to the important work for the organization and the television industry.
