Art Directors/Set Decorators

Requirements for Membership

Please note that requirements (as outlined below) must be met within the four (4) years preceding one's application for membership or membership review; also, such requirements apply in each instance to the production and/or distribution of nationally exhibited audio visual works. Theatrically distributed feature film credits can qualify for up to 25% of the credits required for membership. Individuals who have received an Emmy Nomination, specific to this peer group, within the past four (4) years are eligible for Active membership.

Active Status:

Employment in one or more of the following positions for a minimum of two (2) years in the last four (4) years with one of the following screen credits on at least twenty (20) episodes:

PRODUCTION DESIGNER
SET DECORATOR
ART DIRECTOR
SCENIC DESIGNER (New York title)

Some areas of work that do not meet the criteria for this peer group include:

Animation Art Directors and Animation Production Designers – eligible to join the Animation peer group

Or a qualified body of work relevant to the peer group that warrants a waiver of the above requirements. Body of Work designation has all benefits of Active membership with the exception of running for Peer Group Governor.

Associate Status:

Employment in one or more of the following positions for a minimum of one (1) year in the last four (4) years with one of the following screen credits on at least ten (10) episodes:

· PRODUCTION DESIGNER

· SET DECORATOR

· ART DIRECTOR

· SCENIC DESIGNER (New York title)

· SET DESIGNER

· GRAPHIC DESIGNER

· ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR

· ASSISTANT SET DECORATOR

· SET DECORATOR BUYER
