Please note that requirements (as outlined below) must be met within the four (4) years preceding one's application for membership or membership review; also, such requirements apply in each instance to the production and/or distribution of nationally exhibited audio visual works. Theatrically distributed feature film credits can qualify for up to 25% of the credits required for membership. Individuals who have received an Emmy Nomination, specific to this peer group, within the past four (4) years are eligible for Active membership.
Active Status:
Employment for a minimum of two (2) years within the last four (4) years with on-air credit on at least twenty (20) episodes as a MAKEUP ARTIST or HAIRSTYLIST which shall be verified by a Department Head and/or credits. Or ten (10) long form programs; defined as a television movie or special running one and on-half (1.5) hours or more in length.
Or a qualified body of work relevant to the peer group that warrants a waiver of the above requirements. Body of Work designation has all benefits of Active membership with the exception of running for Peer Group Governor.
Associate Status:
Any Makeup Artist or Hairstylist with at least one (1) year professional work but with less than twenty (20) episodes and at least five (5) credited episodes. Makeup trainees, interns, designers, assistants, coordinators, technicians with at least one (1) year of work.
