Alice Drummond was an actress best known for her role in 1984’s Ghostbusters, as a frightened librarian.
Drummond was also known for her role in the Oliver Sacks biopic Awakenings, in which she played a patient, and her role in 2008’s Doubt, in which she portrayed a nun. She also had roles in Eyewitness, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Funny Farm, Running on Empty, Money for Nothing and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
Additionally, Drummond appeared on the television series Dark Shadows, Where the Heart Is, Ryan’s Hope, Park Place, Great Performances, The Equalizer, Night Court, Kate & Allie, Lenny, Frannie’s Turn, Grace Under Fire, Cosby, Spin City, Ed and Boston Legal.
She died November 30, 2016, in The Bronx, New York. She was 88.
