Allison Binder is a partner at the entertainment law firm Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher, LLP, where she represents award winning and up and coming writers, directors, producers, authors, actors and production companies. Her practice also includes advising international creators and distributors on the sale of television formats in the U.S. and abroad, including acclaimed series like In Treatment, Homeland and Euphoria.

A longtime leader within the Television Academy, Binder has served as its Treasurer and Secretary, and continues to contribute as a member of the Bylaws Committee and the Professional Representatives' Peer Group Executive Committee. She serves on the Advisory Board of the JNF USA Film & TV Fund, and as a mentor in the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles Community Leadership Institute. Binder is an Americans for Ben-Gurion University Zin Fellow, a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) spouse network and a member of Female Executives in Media and Entertainment. She is actively involved in The Healthy Rooms Project, and supports numerous causes, including the Camp Bob Waldorf Foundation, Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles, the GOFARR Laboratory at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and Foster Love.

A Houston native, Binder earned her B.A. from Cornell University and J.D. from Stanford University. She is a devoted wife, stepmother, grandmother, and dog mom to Schmush.
