Anne Bancroft was an Emmy Award-winning actor who appeared in television series, films, and theatrical productions.
She can be seen in such television miniseries, specials, and series as "Deep in My Heart," "Haven," "Annie, The Women in the Life of a Man," and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Bancroft was perhaps best known as Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate." She also appeared in such films as "The Elephant Man," "The Miracle Worker," and "'night, Mother." Bancroft also made hilarious appearances with her husband Mel Brooks in "To Be or Not To Be" (1983), "Silent Movie," and "Dracula: Dead and Loving It."
Bancroft was a renowned stage actor who won two Tony awards for her performances in "Two for the Seesaw" and the original Broadway production of "The Miracle Worker."
She is one of only 24 thespians to win the Triple Crown of acting, which is at least one competitive Academy Award, one competitive Primetime Emmy Award, and one competitive Tony Award.
