Barry Jenner was an actor best known for his roles as Admiral Ross on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and as Lt. Lieu Murtaugh on the ABC/CBS comedy Family Matters.

Jenner also appeared on the series Another World, Barnaby Jones, Hart to Hart, Knots Landing, Remington Steele, Days of Our Lives, Fame, Simon & Simon, Highway to Heaven, St. Elsewhere, Family Ties, Falcon Crest, Matlock, JAG and recurring roles on Something So Right and Dallas. In the latter he played Dr. Jerry Kenderson, who was having a love affair with Linda Gray's Sue-Ellen Ewing. He also had a part in the 2013 TV movie Defending Santa, starring Dean Cain.

Additionally, Jenner had roles in films including Looker, starring Albert Finney; The Boost, with James Woods; and Enough Said, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini.

In the mid 1980s, he appeared regularly on TV game shows including Super Password, Celebrity Double Talk and The $10,000 Pyramid.

For 21 years, Jenner served as a Los Angeles Police Department reserve officer.

He died August 9, 2016, in Los Angeles. He was 75.
