Ben Halpern was an American publicist.

After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps, Halpern graduated from New York University film school in 1945 as part of its first class.

After a stint as an associate editor for the Independent Film Journal, he was hired as a publicist at Paramount's New York office. There he helped create campaigns for films such as Samson and Delilah (1949), Sunset Boulevard (1950), A Place in the Sun (1951), and The Greatest Show on Earth (1952).

Halpern moved on to United Artists Television as their director of motion picture publicity and advertising, representing them at European and Middle Eastern film festivals for stars such as Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich, and Gary Cooper.

In 1973, he moved to Los Angeles with Universal as their vice president of publicity and advertising where he helped promote television shows including Columbo, Murder, She Wrote, Magnum, P.I., The Rockford Files, Miami Vice, Kojak, and Steven Spielberg's breakout TV movie Duel (1971).

Halpern died January 20, 2021, in Los Angeles, California. He was 99.
