Ben Powers was an actor best known for his role as Keith Anderson on the 1970s sitcom Good Times. The NFL-bound character appeared in the sixth and final season of the series, in which he married Thelma Evans (played by BerNadette Stanis) and eventually moved the Evans family out of the Chicago projects.

Powers also appeared in an episode of PBS’s Great Performances, as well as the television series Laugh-In, Gimme a Break!, Flamingo Road, The New Odd Couple, The Greatest American Hero and Laverne & Shirley. His TV movie credits included Shattered Vows and Drop-Out Father, the latter starring Dick Van Dyke. In 1984 he became a series regular as the character “Moochie,” on The New Mike Hammer, based on the popular pulp novels by author Mickey Spillane.

He also appeared in the feature films Cheech & Chong's Next Movie, Things Are Tough All Over and The Man Who Loved Women.

Powers died April 6, 2015, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was 64.
