Bob Avian was an American choreographer, producer, and director.

Avian is best known for his work on Broadway musicals such as A Chorus Line, Dreamgirls, and Miss Saigon. A graduate of Boston University College of Fine Arts, he also studied at Boston Ballet School before dancing in more than a dozen Broadway shows including West Side Story, Funny Girl, and Henry, Sweet Henry.

He has appeared as himself in several musical teleplays and documentaries such as Hey, Mr. Producer! The Musical World of Cameron Mackintosh, Putting it Together, Every Little Step, Stars in the House, A Chorus Line, and Live from Broadway: Hello Dolly!.

In London's West End, Avian choreographed Martin Guerre, The Witches of Eastwick, Miss Saigon, and Sunset Boulevard.

Avian died January 21, 2021, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was 83.
