During a career spanning more than four decades, esteemed character actress Carol Ann Susi appeared in such shows as Becker, Grey's Anatomy, That '70s Show, Just Shoot Me, Married... with Children, The King of Queens,Seinfeld, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch and Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Susi was perhaps best known as the unseen voice of Mrs. Wolowitz, mother of Simon Helberg's character in The Big Bang Theory, and also voiced a character on the video game installment of CSI: NY.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, as a teen she studied acting at the renowned HB Studio in New York City before moving to Los Angeles in the 1970s, where she was discovered by the casting department at Universal Studios.

Her film credits included Coyote Ugly, Just Go With It, Death Becomes Her, The Secret of My Success and My Blue Heaven.

Plus she appeared in such stage productions as Justin Tanner’s Heartbreak Help, Coyote Women and Robin Schiff's Ladies’ Room.
