Christopher Evan Welch was an actor known for his work in several films and television series.
Welch began his career in the theater and first appeared on Broadway in the 1997 play London Assurance. He also appeared in a 2002 revival of The Crucible and several off-Broadway productions.
His television work began with the animated series The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog as the voice of as Miles “Tails” Prower. He went on to appear in such series as Third Watch, The Practice, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Nurse Jackie and a regular role on the AMC drama Rubicon.
His movie credits included The Stepford Wives, The Interpreter, The War of the Worlds, Synecodoche, New York, The Master, Lincoln and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which he narrated.
He died December 2, 2013, at age 48. At the time of his passing he was working on Silicon Valley, a series for HBO.
