Cliff Simon was a South African-born film and television actor.

He is most widely known for his recurring role as Ba'al on the science fiction television series Stargate SG-1.

Before discovering acting, Simon trained as a swimmer for the 1984 Olympic Games. In 1991, he made his television debut on the South African series Egoli: Place of Gold.

Often cast as a villain, Simon would go on to land recurring roles in Days of Our Lives, The Americans, and Personal Space. He also guest starred in a number of other series including Nash Bridges, 24, NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS New Orleans, Castle, and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

On the big screen, he was seen in Operation Delta Force 5: Random Fire (2000) and Project Eden (2017).

Simon died March 9, 2021, in Topanga, California. He was 58.
