Clifton James was an actor who appeared in theater, film and television over the course of a career spanning 60 years. He is perhaps best known to movie audiences for his performance as a southern lawman in two James Bond films opposite Roger Moore.

His numerous television appearances included the series Gunsmoke, Dukes of Hazzard, Lewis & Clark, All My Children and City of Angels.
