Cristie Schoen Codd was a contestant and finalist on the eighth season of the Food Network cooking competition Food Network Star, in 2012.

After her run on the show ended, she found success as the head chef of her own company. She catered the sets of major Hollywood films, including Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Bad News Bears, Get on Up, Ender’s Game and Focus.

Codd also worked as an actress, with small, uncredited roles in the films Mona Lisa Smile and Get on Up. In addition, she appearanced on the television series Family Law and Campus Ladies, and she worked as a stunt performer on several films, including Terminator Genisys, and she was Kate Bosworth's stunt double in the horror film Before I Wake.

Codd and her husband Joseph were murdered on March 12, 2015, in Leicester, North Carolina. She was 39.
