David Barrington Holt was a designer and modelmaker who worked in the art department of television and film productions. He was the head of Jim Henson's Creature Shop, overseeing animatronics, special effects and puppetry. Holt served as a creature designer on series including The Storyteller, The Storyteller: Greek Myths and Sheira and Loli's Dittydoodle Works. He served as creative supervisor in the special effects department for films including "George of the Jungle," "Blood and Wine," "Jack Frost," "The Phantom" and "Snow Dogs."
