David Tynan was a writer and producer known for his work on such television series as Highlander, Poltergeist: The Legacy, First Wave and Flash Gordon.
A native of Canada, Tynan was a member of the Writers Guild of Canada, which in 1996 honored him with the first Leo award for his work on Highlander. He was also a member of the Writers Guild of America, West.
He died November 11, 2013, at age 62.
