Dick Dodd was a child performer with the original Mickey Mouse Club who became a drummer and singer for The Standells, the band known for the 1966 hit song "Dirty Water." He also played with the surf rock bands The Bel-Airs and Eddie and the Showmen.

A native of Hermosa Beach, California, Dodd joined The Mickey Mouse Club when it debuted in 1955, when he was nine. He stayed on the show for three seasons, known by the name "DIckie."

In the years that followed, other than an appearance in the TV comedy The Munsters and the teen flick Riot on Sunset Strip, Dodd focused primarily on music.

He died November 29, 2013, in Fountain Valley, California. He was 68.
