Duane Tatro was an American television composer.

At the age of 16, he was playing the saxophone with Stan Kenton's big band before serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He later studied music at the University of Southern California.

Tatro was highly regarded for his 1956 album Jazz for Moderns, as well as three decades of scoring television shows.

He composed the theme for the series The Manhunter and worked on a number of other high-profile programs including The Invaders, Cade's County, Mannix, Mission: Impossible, M*A*S*H, The F.B.I., Cannon, The Rookies, The Streets of San Francisco, Hawaii Five-0, Barnaby Jones, The Love Boat, Dynasty, and Hotel.

Tatro died August 9, 2020, in Bell Canyon, California. He was 93.
