Duncan Sheik was a composer and performer who worked on television series, films, theatrical productions, and albums. 

He composed for Lost Generation and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and “Little Christmas in New York.” He also appeared as himself on American Dreams, Boston Public, and Beverly Hills, 90210. 

In addition to his work on television, Sheik composed and created original music for films. He was the composer for “Through the Fire” and “A Home at the End of the World.” Sheik also made original music for “Dare” and “Harvest.”

In addition to his work on film and television, Sheik was also a celebrated composer for musical theater. He won two Tony Awards and a Grammy Award for “Spring Awakening.” He also composed the music for other musicals including “Alice by Heart,” “American Psycho,” and “Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen,” the original production of which will open Off-Broadway at The Night Egg at the Culture Club on October 15th of this year.  

But before all of that, Sheik was a singer-songwriter. His self-titled debut album was certified gold and contained the song “Barely Breathing,” which reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for a Grammy Award. Some of his other albums include “Phantom Moon,” “Daylight,” and “White Limousine.”
