Eddie Applegate was best known for portraying Richard Harrison, the boyfriend of Patty Lane on The Patty Duke Show (1963-1966). He is credited in 88 of the show's 104 episodes.
Applegate also appeared on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, The Lucy Show, Mr. Novak, The Carol Channing Show, Gunsmoke, and Nancy.
Additionally, he appeared in films including A Ticklish Affair, Exorcism, and Easy A.
Applegate died October 4, 1935, in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. He was 81.
