Edward Irastorza was an American visual effects supervisor.

He is perhaps best known for his work with Guillermo Del Toro on the films Hellboy (2004) and Pan's Labyrinth (2006), as well as and the television show Grimm.

Irastorza began his career in television as a visual effects coordinator on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and its sister series, Xena: Warrior Princess.

He would expand into film on Blade (1998) and continue to work on the big screen for the next decade, producing visual effects for Del Toro and for Blade II (2002), The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D (2005), and Sin City (2005).

In television, Irastorza's work is also on display in The Cape, Electric Dreams, Mayans M.C., and The Morning Show.

Irastorza died December 21, 2020, in Los Angeles, California. He was 52.
