Before founding RobComms, Emily spent nearly a decade at Netflix beginning in 2015, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company's global PR operations during a period of significant growth and expansion. During her tenure, she led multiple teams and developed strategic campaigns for some of the platform's most critically acclaimed and commercially successful series, including Stranger Things, The Crown, Orange Is the New Black, Beef, and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. With deep expertise in awards campaigns, she both executed high-profile publicity efforts and built the foundation of Netflix's publicity infrastructure while developing scalable global launch strategies.
Prior to Netflix, Emily was based in New York City, where she held publicity roles at History Channel, Discovery, VH1, Bravo, and Hill+Knowlton Strategies, leading campaigns across scripted and unscripted programming as well as corporate brands, working closely with talent, executives, and media to craft compelling narratives driving visibility and engagement.
Emily has served on the Television Academy's Public Relations Peer Group Executive Committee for three years and volunteers with Wags & Walks. A proud Washington State University graduate (Go Cougs!) she lives in Silver Lake with her three rescue dogs (Mort, Charley, and Jules) where they divide their time between their favorite TV shows, culinary adventures, gardening projects, and neighborhood explorations, all fueled by a shared enthusiasm for the latest and greatest in entertainment and pop culture.
