Frank Bielec was an American interior designer and actor.

An elementary school teacher and a florist, Bielec joined the Discovery Channel’s TLC program Trading Spaces after an impromptu audition during a convention on decorative paint where he stood in as a replacement for the original demonstrator.

He was discovered by a producer from Home & Garden TV and would be a regular on the home decorating series for its entire original run, from 2000 to 2008, working with Ty Pennington and Vern Yip.

Bielec was also contributing designer to the show’s reboot in 2018 as well as a number of its spinoff series including Trading Spaces: Family, Trading Spaces: Home Free, and Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls.

Bielec died May 15, 2020, in Houston, Texas. He was 75.
