Frank Pellegrino was an actor best known for his role as FBI Chief Frank Cubitoso on the famed HBO series The Sopranos.

Pellegrino was also a well-known restaurateur, as co-owner of East Harlem’s Rao’s. Founded in 1896, the famous eatery is frequented by celebrities and has been featured in numerous films, including The Wolf of Wall Street.

Additionally, Pellegrino appeared on the series New York Undercover, Swift Justice, Law & Order, Big Apple, Third Watch, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and his final credit, Odd Mom Out.

He also appeared in films, including GoodfellasIt Could Happen to You, Cop Land, Mickey Blue Eyes, Happy End and Woody Allen’s Manhattan Murder Mystery and Celebrity.

Pellegrino died January 31, 2017, in New York City. He was 72.
