Fredd Wayne was an American actor.

Wayne worked briefly as a delivery boy at Warner Bros. studios before being called up for military service during World War II. Appointed as a Special Service non-commissioned officer, he was put in charge of providing entertainment for troops as writer, producer and actor of army productions.

Appearing regularly on television starting in the early 1950s, Wayne became a familiar presence in programs across all genres, including Gunsmoke, Make Room for Daddy, Maverick, Wagon Train, The Untouchables, 77 Sunset Strip, Have Gun - Will Travel,  Perry Mason, The Real McCoys, The Twilight Zone, Rawhide, Hogan’s Heroes, My Three Sons, Ironside, The Rockford Files, Wonder Woman, Trapper John, M.D., Lou Grant, One Day at a Time, St. Elsewhere, Matlock, Cagney & Lacey, and Cheers.

In 1964, Wayne developed a one-man show based on the life of Benjamin Franklin, which led to television appearances as Franklin in a 1964 two-part episode of Bewitched, as well as Simon & Simon, Daniel Boone, Voyagers, and a bicentennial special hosted by Bob Hope in 1976.

Wayne died August 28, 2018, in Santa Monica, California. He was 93.
