Gary R. Speckman was a set designer and art director who worked on television series and films. His work can be seen on Moonlighting, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, and ER.

In addition to his work on television, Speckman also worked on numerous films. His work can be see on "Frailty," "Pay It Forward," "Stir of Echoes," and "Armageddon."

Gary Speckman was born in New York City, but relocated to Los Angeles with his mother, aunt and grandmother at age 3 – Hollywood was always in his blood!

Gary began his designing career for restaurants, from A & W fast food chains across the country to the Forum Club and all concession stands at the then newly constructed Forum in Inglewood. While working in this industry for 15 years, he also served as a Los Angeles County Reserve Sheriff for over 40 years earning the rank of Lieutenant. While with the Sheriff's Department he met Mel Bishop, who was a Production Manager for the original "Charlie's Angels". Knowing Gary's background in design, Mel was instrumental in Gary launching his career in the television and film industry.

Of all of his work, Gary most enjoyed and treasured his time on Star Trek: The Next Generation where his set designs traveled in time along with Captain Picard and the Enterprise crew's various adventures.

Gary officially retired in 2002 as he celebrated his 65th birthday.
