Gloria Steinem was an Emmy Award-nominated writer, producer, and activist who worked on television series and films. She was a writer on That Was the Week That Was, and a documentary series that she also hosted called Woman Alive! She also hosted a TV series for Viceland called Woman with Gloria Steinem.
Steinem, who was considered by many to be at one point the most famous feminist in the world, was the co-founder of Ms. magazine and numerous organizations such as the National Women's Political Caucus, the Women's Action Alliance, and the Women's Media Center. She appeared as herself on numerous TV series including The Larry Sanders Show, The Good Wife, and "Tanner '88."
