Hogan Sheffer was an American screenwriter.

He is perhaps best known for his work as head writer for daytime television soap operas including As the World Turns (2003-05), Days of Our Lives (2006-07), and The Young and the Restless (2008-13).

Sheffer also worked as a script analyst for several production companies. As the director of screenplay development for Dreamworks, he was in charge of developing scripts for the films My Dog Skip (2000), What Lies Beneath (2000), Galaxy Quest (1999), and Home Fries (1998).

He was a five-time Daytime Emmy winner for Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team for: The Young and the Restless (2011), and As the World Turns (2001, 2002, 2004, 2005).

Sheffer died September 28, 2019, in York, Pennsylvania. He was 61.
