James Carter Cathcart was a voice-over actor who worked in television series and film. He was best known for playing Gary Oak, James, Meowth, and Professor Oak in over 700 episodes and 15 films (all in English) of the Pokémon franchise. He can also be heard in other series including Sonic X and Mission Odyssey as well as films including the English-language versions of The Boy Who Wanted to be A Bear and Impy's Island.
Cathcart also worked as a music arranger on such television series as Mr. Men and Little Miss, Casper and Friends, and CBS Summer Playhouse.
