James Greene was an actor who has appeared in numerous plays and series on United Kingdom television over a 40-year period. He has often played lawyers, clergymen, army officers and latterly judges. In the U.S., he had a recurring role on Parks & Recreation as Councilman Milton. His numerous television credits included The Days and Nights of Molly Todd, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Modern Family.
Greene was a continuity announcer on Ulster Television from 1959 until 1965.
