Janie Sell was an actor who appeared on television and in theatrical productions. She can be seen in numerous TV movies including "A Good Sport" and "Your Place...Or Mine." Sell also appeared on Captain Kangaroo and The Mike Douglas Show.

In addition to her work in television, Sell had a long and distinguished career in the theater. She won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for "Over Here!" Sell also appeared in such Broadway shows as "Pal Joey" and "Irene." She also acted in the original Off-Broadway production of "Kurt Vonnegut's God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater," which was the first musical that Alan Menken and Howard Ashman wrote together.
