JD Souther was a singer, composer and actor. He appeared in episodes of television series including Nashville, Providence and Thirtysomething. Souther served as a composer for the series Anything but Love and television special Roy Orbison and Friends: A Black and White Night. He worked on the soundtrack for films including "Cry-Baby," "Urban Cowboy," "Always" and "Sex and the City."
