Jerry Katzman was the former president of The William Morris Agency. He was raised in a film family and graduated from Hawthorne Elementary, Beverly Hills High School, UC Berkeley, and UCLA Law School.

After briefly practicing law, Katzman worked in film production with his father in the 1960s and early 1970s on projects including “Kissin Cousins” and “Harum Scarum” starring Elvis Presley, "Fastest Guitar Alive" starring Roy Orbison, and "Hold on!" starring Peter Noone.

He later joined William Morris, rising from Business Affairs to become Head of Worldwide Television and then President and Vice Chairman. At the agency, he helped define television packaging by assembling creative talent and key elements of a TV series. This contributed to the success of shows including The Cosby Show, Roseanne, Murphy Brown, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Katzman also served as President of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society and later taught at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, where he mentored aspiring executives and producers.
