Jilly Cooper was a British author, journalist and screenwriter who wrote many books and served as a screenwriter on television productions and films. She is best known for creating the Rutshire Chronicles series, which consists of 11 books. Cooper wrote episodes of It's Awfully Bad for Your Eyes, Darling, Jackanory, The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous and Rivals, and worked on television movies including "Riders" and "Octavia."
