Jimmy Nickerson was an American stunt performer and stunt coordinator.

Nickerson was served well by his skill as a professional rodeo rider, beginning his stunt career on such television westerns as Lancer, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Big Valley.

With his experience as an amateur lightweight boxer, Nickerson very soon became an in-demand boxing choreographer and coordinator after working on the first two Rocky movies and Raging Bull. He would later work on Fight Club, Made, and a made-for-TV movie about boxing legend Rocky Marciano.

Nickerson’s resume as a stunt coordinator in television includes Dynasty, Hart to Hart, The New Mike Hammer, Fantasy Island, and Matt Houston.

Nickerson died May 4, 2018. He was 68.
