Jo DiSante currently serves as Vice President, Cross Platform Collaboration, ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Freeform.
In this role, she manages creative oversight of Freeform's original programming slate and strategic cross-platform programming opportunities across ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Freeform. DiSante came to ABC from a career as a creative executive and producer in feature films in 2006 as an executive in the Office of the President of the Entertainment Group. She joined the Current Programming department in 2011, and, in this role, oversaw the creative content and production of series including American Housewife, The Good Doctor, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Middle, The Muppets, Nashville, Private Practice, Quantico and The Rookie, among others.
A passionate advocate for mentorship, Jo helped to launch Women@Disney's Circles@Disney peer mentorship program and was an Executive Champion for The Bond, one of Disney's Black Employee Resource Groups. Prior to being elected Second Vice Chair of the Board of Governors, DiSante served five years as a Governor on the Television Academy Board of Governors and subsequently chaired the Academy's Membership Committee, where, inspired by Disney Circles, she helped to develop and launch the Academy's Peer Circles Program.
She holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Columbia College of Columbia University in New York and currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, two children and three dogs.
