John Callahan was an American actor.

A pre-law student at University of California Berkeley, Callahan turned to acting in the 1980s, making his first onscreen appearance in the television series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

He went on to become a series regular on Falcon Crest before joining the cast of Santa Barbara and All My Children, the latter in which he starred as Edmund Grey in almost 400 episodes.

Callahan also had major roles in Days of Our Lives, The Bay, and Watch Over Me, while guest starring in Fantasy Island, General Hospital, Murder, She Wrote, Spin City, Desperate Housewives, and Cold Case.

Callahan died March 28, 2020, in Rancho Mirage, California. He was 66.
