John Masius was a two-time Emmy-winning writer and producer who worked mainly in television. He wrote and produced series including St. Elsewhere, The Visitor, Providence, Dead Like Me and Hawthorne. Other notable series Masius wrote include The White Shadow, Nick & Hillary and Touched by an Angel.
