John Reilly was an American television and film actor.

He is perhaps best known for his role on the daytime soap opera General Hospital, where he played Sean Donely for 11 years. Reilly would return for Hospital's 50th anniversary and also portrayed Donely in the spinoff series, Night Shift. With a career that spanned six decades, Reilly became a familiar face on television with recurring roles in How the West Was Won, Silver Spoons, Dallas, Paper Dolls, Empty Nest, Beverly Hills 90210, Sunset Beach, Arli$$, Passions, and The Bay. 

Reilly also made guest star appearances on a number of programs including Gunsmoke, Kojak, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Hawaii Five-O, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, The Love Boat, Three's Company, Newhart, Cagney & Lacey, Who's the Boss?, Melrose Place, and Judging Amy. On the big screen he appeared in The Great Waldo Pepper (1975), Deal of the Century (1983), Touch and Go (1986), and The Fallout (1999).

Reilly died January 9, 2021. He was 86.
