John Wesley was an American actor.

Wesley's career would lead to more than 100 film and television movies, also appearing in television shows over six decades, including My Three Sons, Dr. Kildare, The Man from U.N.C.L.E, Knight Rider, The Jeffersons, Benson, Highway to Heaven, Wiseguy, Matlock, Crime Story, Married…with Children, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, In the Heat of the Night, and NCIS.

Wesley's film work includes: Let's Get Harry, Hang 'Em High, Missing in Action 2, 48 Hours, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, I Got the Hook-Up, and Nothing But Trouble.

As the Artistic and Producing Director of the Southern California Black Repertory Company, he mounted a multitude of productions including work with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon.

Prior to his career as an actor, Wesley served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, after which he was honorably discharged.

Wesley died September 8th, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. He was 72.
