Jon Cypher was an actor who worked on television series and films. He played Prince Charming opposite Julie Andrews in the first live TV production of "Cinderella." Cypher was perhaps best known for playing Chief of Police Fletcher Daniels on all seven seasons of Hill Street Blues. In addition to those two roles, he was also a part of the main cast of Major Dad for its final three seasons and appeared on The Love Boat and Knots Landing.

In addition to his extensive career in television, Cypher also acted in many films. He can be seen in "Walking to the Waterline," "Masters of the Universe," as well as "The Kid and the Killers."
