Karmín Murcelo was a Cuban-born actress.
A prolific television actress, Murcelo was featured in episodes of Police Woman, Kojak, Cannon, Police Story, CHiPs, Highway to Heaven, Cagney & Lacey, L.A. Law, Santa Barbara, ER, NYPD Blue, Nash Bridges, Port Charles, Diagnosis Murder, Six Feet Under, The Shield, and Cold Case.
Among her feature film appearances: Borderline (with Charles Bronson), Stir Crazy (with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor), Revenge (with Kevin Costner), and Bound by Honor (with Billy Bob Thornton).
Murcelo’s numerous stage credits include productions of Jean Genet’s The Maids, Milcha Sanchez-Scott’s Roosters, Eduardo Machado’s Once Removed, Nilo Cruz’s Anna in the Tropics and The Beauty of the Father, and Reuben Gonzalez’s The Boiler Room.
Murcelo died May 6, 2020, in Glendale, California. She was 74.
