Kent L. Wakeford was an American cinematographer.

His film career began after a brief stint as a cameraman for the Douglas Aircraft Company, and two years of service as a motion picture cameraman in the U.S. Army’s Signal Corps. Following his time in the Army, Wakeford began making documentary films.

Wakeford was best known for working on Martin Scorsese's films Mean Streets and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. He also directed 15 episodes of L.A. Law during its 1987-88 season.

Wakeford also worked in advertising and commercial production. He co-founded Wakeford/Orloff Productions and worked on commercials for Budweiser, McDonald’s, Mattel, Boeing and more.

Wakeford died October 10, 2020, in Woodland Hills, California. He was 92.
