Lin Bolen was an American television executive and producer.

She was most noted for her role as the NBC daytime television programming Vice President, a position she held from 1972 until 1976.

Bolen was responsible for commissioning the long-running game show Wheel of Fortune, and is credited with successfully bringing long-form narrative to network soap operas, expanding them to hour-long formats.

Bolen was mentioned in Who's Who in America as a trailblazer for Women in Television.

It was long rumored that the ruthless Faye Dunaway character of Diana Christiansen in the 1976 satirical film Network was based on Bolen, something Bolen denied.

Bolen died January 19, 2018 in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California. She was 76.
