Maggie Roche was a singer and performer best known for the pop-folk band the Roches, which she performed in with her sisters Terre and Suzzy.

Their albums included their self-titled 1979 album The Roches, as well as Nurds and Can We Go Home Now. In 1973, Maggie and Terre sang back-up on Paul Simon’s album There Goes Rhymin’ Simon.

In 1979, the group performed on Saturday Night Live, and later appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Additionally, the sisters provided the voices for a trio of animated cockroaches on an episode of the Steven Spielberg-produced cartoon series Tiny Toon Adventures.

Maggie also appeared on the Tracey Ullman series Tracey Takes On... and in the 1996 television movie A Weekend in the Country, starring Richard Lewis, Jack Lemmon and Betty White.

Roche died January 21, 2017, in New York City. She was 65.
