Mare Winningham’s Primetime Emmy® nomination as the friendly waitress “Ida” in Mildred Pierce is her sixth nomination. She has won two Emmy Awards, for Amber Waves> and George Wallace, and was nominated for an Academy Award® for her supporting role as Jennifer Jason Leigh’s sister in Georgia. Winningham was a member of the young Hollywood “Brat Pack,” having co-starred in St. Elmo’s Fire with Rob Lowe, Demi Moore and Emilio Estevez. She is also an accomplished singer-songwriter.
